Blog pages were redesigned. The blog list has new Style, Promote Last, Cards Design and Content Width options; blog posts get cover styles, container size, a table of contents and more.

With the Bottom block enabled on a blog post, a Recommended Post option lets you pick which post is promoted at the end, instead of the default next post.

  1. Open a blog post, Edit > Style > Blog Page > Content > Bottom > Recommended Post.

Promote a chosen article after each post.

Scheduled blog posts

Followers are notified by email when a scheduled blog post is published.

Blog posts can be scheduled with a publish date. A scheduled action publishes them at that time and only then posts the "Published Post" message, so followers get the email when the post really goes live.

Where to find it

  1. Create a blog post with a publish date and let the scheduled action run.
  2. Website > Configuration > Blogs > Travel: see the chatter.

For users

Followers are not notified before the post is visible.

For developers

website.published.mixin gets publish_on, a cron with triggers and _finalize_publication calling _check_for_action_post_publish.

Upgrading from Odoo 19

Posts that relied on a future post date for scheduling should be checked.
