All license figures come from Odoo's official pricing page. Because Odoo localizes rates by region, confirm your country's number before you budget.

How much does Odoo cost?

A typical Odoo deployment costs the monthly license per user plus a one-time implementation fee. For a small team, that can mean about $31 per user each month on Standard billed yearly, plus a $5k to $15k setup.

For a mid-sized company, expect the same per-user license plus a $15k to $45k implementation, and higher with custom modules or integrations. The Odoo software price is charged per user, per month, and can be billed yearly or monthly. Yearly billing is cheaper. The published plans are below.

Odoo pricing plans compared

The introductory rate applies for the first 12 months on the initial users you order, then the standard rate applies. Light Users are sold through an Odoo Advisor with a custom quote. Odoo also announced a 20% increase on the Custom plan at Odoo Experience 2026, so confirm your local price before you sign. Odoo pricing plans explained

Each Odoo plan unlocks a different level of apps, hosting, and customization, and that choice is the single biggest lever on your license cost.

Individual apps are not priced separately, so there is no standalone Odoo CRM pricing or per-app software price. Every app is covered by the one per-user plan.

One App Free

One App Free costs nothing, forever, for a single app with unlimited users on Odoo Online. It is genuinely free, not a trial.

If you install an app that depends on others, for example eCommerce needs Website and Invoicing, those dependencies are included free too. It is the cheapest way to run one function, but the moment you need a second standalone app, you move to a paid plan.

Standard

Standard gives you every Odoo app on Odoo Online for one per-user fee, with no custom code. At $24.90 per user/month for the first year and $31.10 after on yearly billing, it fits most small and mid-sized businesses running standard processes.

It includes hosting, support, upgrades, backups, and maintenance. What it does not allow is Odoo Studio, multiple companies on one database, or external API access.

Custom

Custom adds the tools serious deployments need: Odoo Studio, Agentic AI, multi-company, external API, and your choice of hosting. At $49.00 per user/month for the first year and $61.00 after on yearly billing, it suits companies that will customize Odoo, use Odoo 20's AI agents, or run more than one legal entity on a single database.

It also lets you host on Odoo.sh or on-premise instead of Odoo Online. If a partner is building custom modules for you, you almost always need this tier.

Is Odoo free? Community vs Enterprise

Yes, Odoo has a genuinely free edition called Community, but it is not the same product as the paid Enterprise plans. The Odoo Community edition is open source and carries no per-user license fee.

You download it, host it yourself, and use its core apps. It is a real option for teams with in-house technical people who can manage servers, updates, and security.

Odoo Enterprise, the Standard and Custom plans, adds full accounting, a better studio, mobile apps, official support, hosting, and one-click upgrades.

Put simply, Odoo Enterprise pricing runs from $24.90 to $76.20 per user/month depending on plan and billing, with Light Users at US$8.90, so the Odoo Enterprise cost stays well below tier-one ERPs, while the Community edition has no license cost at all.

The edition sets your license cost, but how many people you license sets the rest, which is where teams often overspend.

What counts as a paying user (so you do not overpay)

You pay for internal users who log into the Odoo backend, and from Odoo 20 you also pay for active employee records that have no full login. Customers and suppliers using the portal stay free.

Odoo 20 splits paying users into two prices. A full User runs sales, purchasing, projects or accounts. A Light User, at US$8.90, only uses self-service and front-line tools such as time off, expenses, attendance, Point of Sale and barcode scanning.

Odoo's pricing page counts "an employee (record in hr application) who has no linked user" as a paying user. That includes staff who only clock in at a kiosk, so archive leavers before every renewal.

Odoo hosting options and cost

Odoo Online hosting is free and included in every plan; Odoo.sh and on-premise are paid options for teams running custom code.

• Odoo Online: free, included, fully managed cloud. No custom modules. Best for standard deployments.

• Odoo.sh: paid platform-as-a-service for custom development, with staging and production branches. Priced by workers, storage, and staging environments, not per user, and separate from your license.

• On-premise: you host Odoo Enterprise on your own servers. No hosting fee to Odoo, but you carry the server and maintenance cost.

For most SMBs the Odoo hosting price is effectively zero, because Odoo Online is included. You only need Odoo.sh or on-premise once custom modules are in play, which is a Custom-plan scenario. Hosting is cheap, but the line items Odoo's page leaves out are where budgets slip.

The costs Odoo's price page does not show

The license is only one line item; implementation, customization, migration, integrations, support, and in-app credits make up the rest of your real Odoo cost. Odoo's page is transparent about the subscription, but a working ERP needs setup.
