The challenge
JD Central serves millions of Thai shoppers across every product category, which makes it a powerful sales channel — and a demanding one. The merchant ran the marketplace as its front end and Odoo as its system of record, but nothing connected them, so the operation depended on exports, uploads, and re-keying.
- Marketplace orders were copied into Odoo by hand before fulfillment could start.
- Listing inventory drifted from warehouse stock between manual updates.
- Product and category changes had to be maintained twice.
- Order status changes in Odoo never made it back to JD Central buyers.
Our approach
iVentureTeam built a connector that treats JD Central as the sales surface and Odoo as the operational core, exchanging data automatically on regular intervals.
API foundation
- Configured JD Central API credentials and connection settings inside the Odoo back end.
- Established scheduled jobs for reliable interval-based synchronization in both directions.
Catalog and inventory sync
- Synchronized products and product categories between the marketplace and Odoo's catalog.
- Kept inventory levels aligned so listings reflect real warehouse availability.
Orders and customers
- Imported marketplace orders with status into Odoo for fulfillment and accounting.
- Synchronized customer records so every buyer exists once in the ERP.
Outcomes
The merchant now scales on Thailand's marketplace traffic while running operations from a single Odoo instance.
- JD Central orders arrive in Odoo automatically, ready to pick and invoice.
- Stock accuracy on listings reduces cancellations and oversells.
- Catalog updates flow from one place instead of two parallel systems.
“JD orders now land in Odoo automatically with stock and pricing kept current. We scaled marketplace sales without scaling admin work.”
